Disinformation continues to be one of the serious challenges to democratic societies in Central and Eastern Europe, especially as Russia actively uses this tool to divide and subvert them. The aim of this project is to monitor the platforms spreading pro-Russian narratives and assess their influence on the local population.
Project Hades aims to map the Russian state-funded disinformation organizations and activities in Central and Eastern Europe. Its goal is to single out harmful narratives and explain the methods used by the Russian-afiliated actors while spreading them. The project also seeks to identify the segments of population most vulnerable to their actions.
The project is led by the Slovak think-tank GLOBSEC and brings together six other associations from the CEE region besides PSSI: ATA Macedonia, Center for Democratic Transition, Centre for the Study of Democracy, Global Focus, ISAC Fund, and Political Capital.
