On Nov 22, 2023, the Korean Academy of Space Security (KASS) organized its 1st International Symposium on Space Security, entitled “Space Security in the New Space Era: Technology, Policy, and Cooperation”. PSSI’s Managing Director, Dr. Jana Robinson, delivered keynote address, focusing on “Partnerships in the New Space Race”. 

The event included all key ROK public space stakeholders, including the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI), Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF), the National Intelligence Service, as well as commercial sector and international speakers from Australia and Japan. This inaugural event provided important insights concerning ROK’s future direction in configuration of a robust space security strategy, public-private sector ecosystem, and international partnerships. 

On Nov 23, 2023, Dr. Robinson delivered a lecture, entitled “Key Trends in Space Security”, for graduate and undergraduate students of the Yonsei University’s Center for Galaxy Evolution Research. She likewise held a discussion with members of the National Assembly Research Service.
