On October 18, 2023, Prague Security Studies Institute organized Nury Turkel's in-person guest lecture titled "Uyghur Genocide: Sanctioning PRC Forced Labour Practices".

Nury A. Turkel, an attorney and foreign policy expert with nearly two decades of experience, served as a Commissioner appointed by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, actively advocating for legislative responses to address China's Uyghur atrocities.

Mr. Turkel discussed the evidence of the Uyghur genocide, emphasizing the importance of taking concrete actions, such as sanctions, to curb the forced labor.
