Mr. Christie is an accomplished researcher, independent consultant, and former defense and innovation policy official at NATO. He served as a NATO official from 2014 to 2020, including as Defence Economist and Deputy Head of NATO’s Innovation Unit. 

He was the lead author of NATO’s policy White Paper on Artificial Intelligence and lead consultant to NATO for the development of the Alliance’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy. At PSSI, he will provide expertise on defense policy related to Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technology issues. He will be likewise working on PSSI’s groundbreaking research and analytics on the national security and human rights dimensions of the presence of Chinese companies in Western capital markets.
