PSSI is looking for a Program Coordinator for our Security Scholars Program. He/she will be responsible, under the direction of PSSI’s Managing Director and Director of Operations, for the organization of our flagship course - the Robinson Martin Security Scholars Academy (RMSSA) - and other projects, including the Cyber Security Academy, NATO Summer School, PSSI’s partnership with the Charles University, and other events and activities.
The Program Coordinator will coordinate between the above-referenced projects to ensure they align with the overall mission of the Institute. He/she will also manage and improve our alumni network. In addition, the Program Coordinator will be in charge of developing the Program to support PSSI’s strategic direction and create and manage its evolution, including developing the budget and operating plan for the Program and writing program funding proposals.
The candidate should be familiar with various aspects of national (Czech Republic), regional and allied security (NATO, EU). The initial contract will be a part-time position (24 working hours, salary 21 000 CZK) with the perspective of a full-time contract. The position is located in Prague and is suitable for M.A. graduates, Ph.D. students, experienced professionals, and professionals returning after parental leave.
Duties:
- Overall implementation and development of PSSI's Security Scholars Program
- Conceptual and programmatic preparation of RMSSA / CSA / NATO Summer School and their implementation, including funding from grants and partnerships with private and public entities (with the assistance of senior staff)
- Coordination of our relationship with Charles University, search for new opportunities and synergies
- Administration of relevant projects and grants
- Continuous promotion of projects in cooperation with the PR Coordinator
- Organization of smaller educational events and activities (one-time lectures)
- Development of new educational activities, partnerships, and funding opportunities
- Development of PSSI´s Alumni activities
Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of NATO/EU/Czech security policy landscape
- Experience in organization of events, including funding and promotion
- Time management and project management skills
- Flexibility and openness to adapt to changing organizational and project needs
- Communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts internally and with external partners of PSSI, work well in a team environment
- Commitment to the organization’s values and mission success
- Proficient knowledge of Czech and English
