PSSI Now Accepting Applications for Project Assistant of Regional Security Program focused on Disinformation

PSSI is looking for a Project Assistant for its Regional Security Program. The candidate should be interested in research, analysis and policy-making in disinformation, information warfare and strategic communications. He/she should be able to work part-time (some 20 hr./week) in Spring and Summer 2021, with a possibility to extend the internship for at least another six months. The position will be located in Prague and is suitable for university students in M.A., Ph.D. programs, and young professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Assistant will participate in ongoing PSSI’s research focused on disinformation in the Czech information space and its impact on individual perception, public opinion, national security and political processes.
Specifically, the Assistant would be responsible for: supporting the work of PSSI Regional Security Program Manager; conducting research; writing and publishing; event organizing; participating in ongoing research and/or projects; related administration, reporting, financial oversight and assisting with fundraising.
Training and mentorship will be provided. Initial compensation will be 10,000 CZK/month with possible increase after a 3-month training period. The Project Assistant would be working at PSSI Prague offices (during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Assistant would work in a hybrid mode - home office).
