Hybrid threats are one of the most pressing international security challenges of today. The world has seen an unprecedented increase of use of information operations, yet its nexus to cybersecurity remains often underestimated.

In his lecture at the American Center, Dr. Scott Jasper focused on current and future cybersecurity challenges that NATO and in particular Central European countries face today. He elaborated on the rise of information warfare and propaganda; and considered cybersecurity from a policy, legal and technical perspective.

Dr. Scott Jasper, CAPT, USN (Ret) is a Lecturer at the National Security Affairs Department and the Institute for Security Governance at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California. Scott retired from the United States Navy as a Captain in 2004 and earned his Doctorate from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
