Senior Fellow and Former Executive Director Petr Pelz Departs PSSI.

In the course of his distinguished career, Ambassador Pelz served as a Secretary of the National Intelligence Committee, Chief of the Military Intelligence Service and Director of Defence Intelligence of the Czech Republic. He was also a member of the NATO Intelligence Board.

In November 1999, while serving as Director of Defence Intelligence, Amb. Pelz was promoted to the rank of Major General. He later served as Defence Adviser to the Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations in New York and as Czech Ambassador to Afghanistan. 

He joined the PSSI in February 2013 and served as PSSI's Executive Director until August 2014. He then kindly served as an unpaid Senior Fellow and departed the Institute on November 30, 2017.

We wish to express our sincere appreciation to Ambassador Pelz for his work on behalf of PSSI and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
